
Will Hill is a typographer, graphic artist and writer. He is Emeritus Associate Professor of Graphic Design at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, where until his retirement he headed the MA programme in Graphic Design and Typography. Full academic CV
He studied at Winchester School of Art 1973–4 and Cambridge School of Art 1974–77 and later completed an MA in Typeface Design at the University of Reading in 2006
Prior to his academic career, his work as an illustrator and designer included editorial illustration for Time Out, the Observer, New Scientist, New Statesman, the Sunday Telegraph and the Radio Times, commissions from design consultancies Michael Peters, Pauffley and Co, Cresse Learman King and Robert Lamb Associates for clients including: TSB, The Leeds Building Society, McConnell Douglas, Eagle Star. He designed book covers for: Routledge, Octopus, Longman and Harper Collins, and designed and art-edited the journals Framework, Undercurrents and Margin.
